Please note these are judge’s comments and record of bird work.

Brace 1
Kicker and Dolly
Weather: Cool, overcast and very dewy with fog.
Kicker had a great rapport with his handler. At the 5-minute mark he had a natural stop to flush. The next two finds at the 10 and 20-min. marks were honest and clean. He had a slow spot at 29 min. but picked up speed again after crossing the road and flowed nicely down the long tree line. 3rd place
Dolly separated for a short time with a slow beginning but finished very strong. At 27 min. she had a stylish find. 4th place

Brace 2
Hank and Richie
Weather: Damp muggy overcast with slight wind.
Hank had a find a 7 and 27-min mark with good intensity and at 29 min he had a nice stop to flush. Unfortunately, at 36 min Hank had a messy bird contact and the handler picked him up.
Richie started out very nice but rather early he decided to flush at the bird.

Brace 3
Clint and Mickey
Weather: The ground dried quickly, clouds clearing and a slow steady wind picked up out of the West.
Clint had a non-productive at 11 min and later was picked up by the handler.
Mickey started off strong and disappeared at 11 min. The judges timed him out of contention.

Brace 4 Auston and Bo
Weather: A West wind picked up and a strong sun cam out to make it very warm.
Auston had two non-productives at 10 and 24 min. He had a good ground race and a bird at 26 min. At 32 min the bird was a bit too close and he chased for five feet.
Bo’s first bird was a non-productive but at 10 min he backed Auston naturally without assistance. At 30 min slowed but picked up again after crossing the road. At 40 and 42 minuets he had two good back to back bird contacts. 2nd place

Brace5
Zooka and Brooser
Weather: Cloud cover moved in and the sun was not as intense. The humid wind continued to pick up speed out of the West.
The pair worked well together. Zooka started out finding birds at the 5 and 10-min mark with good intensity and manners. At the 10-min mark Brooser and Zooka had a find and back. Brooser got a little frisky with the bird and put it in the air. Zooka stood firm. at 23min. Zooka had a non-productive. He continued in a strong forward pattern busting through the brush to find a bird at 38 min. Shortly after at 40 min found a large covey and Zooka stood strong and honest through it all. He continued to find birds all the way at the 45 and 57 minutes with sterling manors. Zooka 1st place

Brace 6
Josie and Kate
Weather: The clouds started to break up and the wind continued a hot humid flow.
Josie was picked up at 23 min for a bird infraction.
Kate had a natural back at 23 min and handled the brace mates moving on the birds. She continued on to handle a bird at 27 and 34 min. with nice manors. Suddenly at the 42-min a bird flushed in her face and bad things happen after.

Brace 7
Teama and Bailey
Weather: Unfortunately the sun came out and made it very hot for the last brace. The wind stayed strong and constant.
Bailey started out strong with a bird at 8min but chased the bird at 10 minutes.
Teama had a nonproductive at 9 min. At 29 min relocated several times to find a difficult bird. She unfortunately ran out of run at the 30-min mark and was pick up by the handler.
