The Boyd Ranch is fairly central to the heart of Texas. The terrain features lots of cleared and level open grass range as well as areas with natural hedgerows, shrubs and tree objectives.  The ranch is a popular site with the local clubs for field events, and features a clubhouse and campground.

We feel exceptionally lucky that this location has all of the character of a country getaway at Wortham, while also being very close to amenities in the larger town of Mexia, which offers modern accommodations and easy shopping for those pesky forgotten items!  Our Host Hotel is directly across from our Saturday night banquet location, and a short drive from the hunting test/field trial grounds.  A MEET & GREET is planned for Thursday night at the test/trial grounds – Thursday, March 16.  JOIN US!

HOST HOTELBEST WESTERN – several rooms reserved for ISCA -- special allowance has been arranged for larger dogs. Hotel accepts dogs but you must notify them that you have dogs when making reservations. Address is 1314 Milam Street, Mexia, Texas 76667. Phone is (254) 562-0200 (direct) or (800) 780-7234.  Room rates are $65.00 and up.

CAMPING:  RVs and camping are allowed overnight on the grounds.  Reservations are recommended. There is electricity ($10.00/day), but NO water for people or dogs – be sure to bring your own.  Water is available for horses.

FLYING IN?   Closest major airports are in Dallas, TX (DFW or Love field).  There is a regional airport in Waco which is closer but may not have the variety of flights available that Dallas does.
